1 Information We Collect
We collect only the information needed to provide the StellarVision service:

We do not record, store, or transmit your camera video streams. RTSP URLs are stored solely to reconnect your camera on future sessions.

- To authenticate you securely (email/password, Google, Apple)
- To display and manage your camera feeds
- To send MFA / OTP codes when connecting a new camera provider
- To improve app stability and fix bugs
- To respond to your support requests
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
3 Third-Party Services
StellarVision uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

4 Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored securely in Google Firebase Firestore, which provides industry-standard encryption at rest and in transit (TLS 1.2+).
- Passwords are never stored — authentication is handled entirely by Firebase Auth
- Camera RTSP URLs are stored in your private Firestore document, accessible only to your account
- We use Firestore security rules to ensure users can only access their own data
5 Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account:
- Your profile and camera feed data are deleted within 30 days
- Anonymised crash logs may be retained for up to 90 days
- You can request immediate deletion by contacting us (see section 8)
6 Children's Privacy
StellarVision is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or 16 in the European Economic Area). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
7 Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:
- Access: Request a copy of the data we hold about you
- Correction: Ask us to correct inaccurate data
- Deletion: Request deletion of your account and associated data
- Portability: Receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
- Opt-out: Disable analytics data collection in app settings

8 Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will notify you via the app or by email.
Continued use of StellarVision after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
